‘My Why’

Why I write, that is. Anyone reading my newly launched website will not only get to know me but understand the reasons behind I’m a wee bit obsessed about putting words on paper.

Writing is pure and simply, me. A way to define myself, my beliefs, my experiences. It helps me understand and synthesize the past and the present. Thanks to my poetry, I believe that I write in such a way that others will find it intriguing if not worthwhile to read.

Hopefully, this helps not only me but the reader make a little more sense of this achingly beautiful, fractured world in which we live. If nothing else, it helps define each and every one of us. Boundaries. A hotbed word for some; a word that means relief for others.

Some of us just take longer to learn.

I’ve been lucky to have a successful career in a different field up until now. And I find myself transitioned to ‘semi-retired’. A word that I not only like but embrace wholeheartedly.

So, here we go, dear reader. Welcome to my everything: the world of my poetry, my books, my thoughts on why it matters.
